Approach & Perspective:
I opened the Buyers’ Brokerage because I believe that Exclusive Buyer Agency is better for clients, and better for Real Estate. I opened it here because I love where we live.
Our coast, from Big Sur to San Francisco and beyond, might be the most beautiful stretch of land in the world. I get to explore its gorgeous and dramatic landscape, venture into its amazing variety of homes and buildings, and get a glimpse into its history and its future, all in the service of helping people with some of the most important decisions and transactions of their lives. I work incredibly hard for my clients, and I love what I do every day.
I am a proud member of NAEBA, the National Association of Exclusive Buyer’s Agents, and I am also a member of REBAC, the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council of the National Association of Realtors. After having worked in “traditional” real estate companies for years, I have come to find that Exclusive Buyer’s Representation is a better way to do real estate. I don’t “sell” properties, I help people, and that simplicity is priceless.
Besides the education necessary to become an Agent (in two states) and a California Broker (5 times the education of an Agent), I actually take great pleasure in constantly deepening my expertise in this complex and constantly-changing field. I don’t study up on how to get more customers, I research and educate myself constantly to make sure that I am doing the absolute best work and providing the highest level of service possible to my clients.
History:
I am a third-generation Realtor who spent a disproportionate amount of his youth in real estate offices. Both of my parents are Real Estate Brokers, one of my Grandfathers was a Realtor, and my other Grandfather worked for the Federal Land Bank during the Great Depression, helping farmers keep their land. I’ve been working in real estate in one capacity or another from a very young age, writing ads, organizing files, holding open houses, and interacting with professionals and clients on a variety of levels. Our family would always take time to look at houses “for fun” when we were on vacation or otherwise traveling, and I have since been a real estate customer in a handful of states across the country. I base much of my approach to being a Broker on my experiences being a customer.
I previously worked at RE/MAX Bayway Islands in Tierra Verde, Florida, selling luxury waterfront property, at Thunderbird Real Estate in Capitola, California, and at Lighthouse Realty on the West side of Santa Cruz. I have also been an active real estate investor and remodeler of property with a special interest in historical properties as well as California Modern and Mid-Century Modern homes.
I have a lifetime of real estate experience that I would love to put to work for you, and I am interested in properties of all kinds, so please call or e-mail if I can help you in any way.
